Advocacy

Changing a system of care and support for people who have brain injuries and differences from a policy level requires advocacy. Legislative opportunities, working in partnership with other agencies, and creating media awareness of this particular population’s needs will be foundational to the ongoing success of Minds in Motion Initiative’s mission.

Services include: 

• Advocating for legislative improvements in reimbursement and funding (care coordination funding, Medicaid waiver, reimbursement rates).

• Teaching self-advocacy and providing opportunities for people to advocate for themselves.
